Our Lifeboats

Here in Scarborough we have two lifeboats an All Weather Shannon Class Lifeboat named Frederick William Plaxton and an Inshore Lifeboat named John Wesley Hillard III. Both of these lifeboats were funded by generosity. We thank the donors most sincerely.

THE SHANNON "FREDERICK WILLIAM PLAXTON. Funded by: Mr F W Plaxton, The F W Plaxton Charitable Trust, The Ganton Furse Settlement and Mr Willaim Ranyard.

THE SHANNON LAUNCH AND RECOVERY EQUIPMENT (SLARS) "The Cairns" Funded by: John & Esther Cairns, The Ronald and Kathleen Pryde Charity and the Scarborough Community Appeal where £250,000.00 was raised locally.

THE IB1 LIFEBOAT "JOHN WESLEY HILLARD III FUNDED BY: Gay & Peter Hartley Hillards charitable Trust, The Hartley Charitable Trust, Simon Robert Hillard Hartley and N & P Hartley Memorial Trust.

THE IB1 LAUNCH AND RECOVERY TRAILER Funded in memory of Doug Neale by donations from family, friends and colleagues from Yorkshire Television.
