We welcome visits to our station by all schools, colleges and universities. There is however one important piece of information which is that we are an operational Lifeboat station so our Lifeboats can be called out at any time. Please accept that when you arrive for your visit the bo0athouse may be without boats!!

All of our vists team are volunteers it is therefore necessary for you to book in advance. The time needed for a visit is around one hour and takes the form of a short presentation on the RNLI a sea safety and water safety message, depending on the size of the group the group is split into two groups and taken to view the Inshore and Allweather Lifeboats (subject to them not being out on a callout). We have a small shop which sells souveniers, prices start from around 50p.

There is no charge for your visit but any donations will be gratefully recieved.

We would encourage your school to organise a fund raising event for the Lifeboats for two reasons. Firstly it would get your children talking about the RNLI in the school and hopefully at home which raises our profile. Secondly it would help raise much needed funds.
