Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)
Have you ever seen the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealisis)???? They occur mainly when there are large active sunspots. The site below show when the effects of a solar flare pass through our atmosphere. If the colour on the oval is white and the bar graph on the bottom is also white and the colour is over England then it is possible you could see one Look in the sky to the North! In this Country they are very rare, however with this information you may be lucky. I would also recommend that you visit www.spaceweather.com as that site shows the sunspots. We have this display courtesy of the Space Physics Group at the University of Alberta Canada Their website is [www.ssdp.ca] |

Below is an image courtesy of the Kiruna Web Cam.
This is a live sky image that updates every minute.
Some nights you will see a bright light which will be the moon.
